Sarria is located at about 115km distance from Santiago de Compostela on the traditional route of the Camino Francés. Pilgrims who walk the way from this Galician town to the sepulcher of the Apostle St. James fulfill the condition to receive the Compostela. In order to avoid the “race for the beds” and to be able to concentrate on the essential things of pilgrimage, we recommend making your reservations in small hotels and pensions ahead of time.
